Well why didn't I think of that? Today, Jenelle came home from school wearing her crash helmet. She never wears it at home as it always stays at school. Immediately, when I saw her I said, "Of course!"
You can't pull out hair you can't touch!

Are you going to get her hair cut? So it's even all the way around? Maybe that was her way of telling you she wants it short. I like short hair myself. I'm glad you found a solution to the problem.
My kid has had a twisting and pulling hair problem for a while now. It was sort of precious when she was a tiny nursing baby curling her little locks, but she eventually twisted two horns into her hair every day, knots nearly impossible to get out.. then she started taking out all the hair. It is starting to resolve a bit as she lets me put her hair in "ponies" but whenever she gets really stressed the horns come out again. I'm so glad you solved that problem with the crash helmet. Now, will she tolerate the helmet at home?
Jenelle suffers from a rare form of Epilepsy called Lennox Gastaut Syndrome.
