Family united in baldness...

Jenelle's daddy #2. We are on day 22 of KCA(kicking cancers ass). After I told Jack mommy cut off all her hair he said we should do the same. He said we can be "the bald family". We have some good news. Kelly is doing really well. Her blood levels have increased to the point she can go home. The problem is she has a fever and rash that won't go away. Kind of like that relative during the Holidays. The rash covers her entire body and itches constantly. She is having a bone marrow test tomorrow. The Dr. expects the leukemia to be either in remission or close to it. We still have to do a second round of chemo either way. Jenelle cried the entire weekend. You think it was because she didn't poop for three days? We need everyone to start praying for Kelly's fever and rash to go away so she can get home. I am very proud of Kelly and how great her attitude has been. She is amazing. Kelly has approved this message.

This post bring tears to my eyes ( and you can tell I'm grading too many papers when I want to edit the missing apostrophe ;.>)

You all look great! Jacks a cool kid.

I'm just glad you don't have to manage no hair in 10 degree weather.

Love you all!

alternate acronyn: KCA&AASE
Kick Cancer's Ass & All Associated Side-Effects

Kelly has also done an amazing job in selecting her mate - who helped her produce a chip off the ol' block.

(Really? Don't they treat that kind of rash like a burn? Topicals and wraps...seems like it would help.) Prayers continiuing - for all of you. Barbara

Your boys are quite handsome all balded up! And what a sweet and supportive gesture that Jack thought up to do this. I'm sure you look just as wonderful while busy kicking cancers ass. Thank you to Kelly's DH for posting yet again.

I know Kelly is gorgeous even bald... those eyes will captivate anyone and that smile lights up a room! LOL.

Tell Kel that it will be interesting to see what her hair comes back in like. Our friend Mike always had straight, very thin hair. His came in so incredibly dark, wavy and THICK it was almost unbelievable. My Mom always had very, very straight hair. Would not even hold a perm. After chemo and radiation she ended up with curls! LOL.

Here is a little prayer that the fever goes away and you can go home. Sweet home... your own bed. I bet you can't wait! :)

You all have cute heads! My hubby watched my daddy shave me, but he did not bare his little (big) head. As I have said for years (and you know I have BTDT) its only hair, it will grow back!

Hoping you are home ASAP!
